Woven Image: Inside VS. Outside
This woven image best represents me because my main theme are buildings. I want to become an Architect so focusing on point or two perspective drawings is a start. I choose the garden cottage to be in pencil to represent me on the outside. I feel that I am often calm on the outside but depressed so I feel grey. The inside of me is a colourful city. How I truly feel is everything is crazy like a busy city. These are the true colours of me; calmly thinking things over but my mind is moving at the speed of cars.
What I found to be the most difficult in the making of this artwork was the perspective. The original layout of the garden cottage had a wooden railing going down the little bridge. The perspective was all wrong and I had to remove it from the drawing.
What I learned for next time is to try not to be so detailed oriented.This is what was delaying my work further. I was able to learn the proper technique of using a pencil crayons. It relies on layering of colours. What I am most proud of is the way it turned out. I wish I had more time to polish it but it ended then I had hoped.
