What to Know
My artistic philosophy is that art is a form of expression to convey an emotion or idea. As an artist, I am very critical. My style is obsessed with detail because I take so much time to make sure it is perfect. I took art class because I found it to be relaxing. I make art because every piece I make is a part of my personality and how I am as a person. My outlet when I draw or paint is saying how I feel because I am not good at expressing it in words. My goals for art is to make my pieces become a reality.
About Me
Hi my name is Lili Lalonde. I am adopted from China but raised in Toronto. Ontario. Living in Ontario has introduced to so many diverse groups of people and areas. I go to the Linden School, an all girls school, and is currently completing grade 11. I began to take interest in art/architecture when I was in kindergarten. I used to play with building blocks and when a teacher asked me to build a simple park; I went beyond expectations. My love for architecture brought me all my interests together like math and art. My parents took me to more buildings when I stumbled upon a architect named Frank Lloyd Wright. I fell deeply in love for architecture.
I choose most of these pieces of artwork because it involves buildings and landscapes. For example the micro macro or the woven image. They involve point perspective drawings. Especially the independent project. I built my own Queen Anne because I want to be a historical preservation type of architect, I wasn't to learn more so by focusing on my goals I create amazing artworks. I get to try many various styles and art media from the Linden School.
